10 best smartphones of 2017 you can buy under Rs 20,000 : Now that we have reached the end of 2017, it is the time to rewind. Here's a list of some of the popular smartphones priced under Rs 20,000 that made a buzz during the year. Note: The smartphones in the list are in random order.

1. Moto G5S Plus - Launched in August this year at Rs 15,999, Moto G5S Plus is among the good value for money smartphones in this segment. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The handset comes in 4GB RAM+32GB storage configuration. It has dual 13MP cameras and an 8MP front camera. The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

2. Nokia 6 - Nokia brand made a come-back this year. The first smartphone that HMD Global, which owns the license to manufacture Nokia brand phones, to launch was the Nokia 6. It entered India in June this year, priced at Rs 14,999. The Android Nougat-based smartphone has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution IPS LCD display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 4GB RAM. It also has 64GB inbuilt storage, which can be extended using 128GB. It is powered by a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Like the Moto G5S Plus, this too has a 3000mAh battery.

3. Xiaomi Mi A1 - Xiaomi Mi A1 is the company’s first smartphone that falls under Google's Android One initiative. It was launched in India in September at Rs 14,999 but is now available for Rs 13,999. It sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display and boasts octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor under-the-hood along with 4GB RAM. It also has 64GB inbuilt storage with micro SD card support. On the camera front, the smartphone consists of a 12MP wide angle and a 12MP telephoto lens. There is a 5MP front-facing camera as well. The device is backed by a 3080mAh battery.

4. Lenovo K8 Plus - Another good buy in this price segment is Lenovo K8 Plus. The smartphone launched in September this year at Rs 10,999 (4GB RAM variant). It has a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display and is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor with 3GB RAM/4GB RAM. There are also 13MP+5MP rear cameras along with a 13MP front-facing camera. The smartphone has a 4000mAh battery.

5. Honor 7X - Honor 7X is one of the recent handsets launched by the Chinese smartphone company. Priced at Rs 12,999 (base model), Honor 7X comes with 5.9-inch Full View FHD+ display along with an octa-core Kirin 659 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, 16MP+2MP rear cameras and an 8MP front-facing camera. It is backed by a 3340mAh battery.

6. Nokia 2 - Nokia 2 is HMD Global’s newest smartphone in the market. It was launched in India in October at Rs 6,999. Nokia 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and has a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution LTPS screen. Under-the-hood the smartphone features the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor along with 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage with micro SD support. Powering the device is a 4100mAH battery. On the camera front, you get a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear camera.

7. Vivo V7 - Vivo V7 made a debut in India in November this year at a price tag of Rs 18,990. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Some of the other specifications included are octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, 16MP rear camera, 24MP selfie camera and a 3000mAh battery.

8. LG Q6 - LG Q6 was the company’s first shot at bringing a 18:9 aspect ratio display to a budget smartphone. It was launched at Rs 14,990. The smartphones comes with 5.5-inch 'FullVision' display with full HD+ (2160x1080 pixels) resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and 3,000mAh battery.

9. Samsung Galaxy On Max - Samsung Galaxy On Max was launched in India at Rs 16,900 in July. The smartphone a 5.7-inch Full HD display, octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, 13MP rear camera, 13MP front-facing camera and 3300mAH battery.

10. Sony Xperia R1 Plus - Sony Xperia R1 Plus is the company’s newest arrival in India priced at Rs 14,990. The R1 Plus features a 5.2-inch HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front facing shooter and a 2620mAh battery.
